Osna pumpen
The history of OSNA Pumps (OSNA-Pumpen GmbH) started on May 1, 1890, in Osnabrück, a city in the German state of Lower Saxony. Under the supervision of its founder Johann Hartlage, what was originally a workshop quickly gained in importance nationwide. The longevity of their piston pumps established the excellent reputation of what later became OSNA-Pumpen GmbH. By the end of the 1930s the machine and pump factory was already known and operating nationwide. Some of the pumps installed back then are still in operation today, almost 90 years later.
Today, managing director Klaus Wessel is the fourth generation to run the family business OSNA-Pumpen GmbH. Focusing on the future, the company operates in a global environment, identifies digitalization potential and is constantly improving the energy efficiency of its pumps and systems – including in cooperation with local universities. At the core of sustainable development, Wessel says, however, lies the solution-oriented, analytical and competent cooperation between contractor and client, as has been the tradition at OSNA for over 125 years.
